Tapes can be cut by the customer to smaller widths. Width is the measurement across predetermined edges of the tape.Length is unimportant because this is determined by the user at the point of application. Packaging Tape Specificationsįor tapes, there are two important geometrical aspects to consider: width and thickness. Specialized foil and metal-backed tapes are now recommended for ductwork. The threads of duct tape tend to be polyester, nylon, rayon, or fiberglass. Duct tape has performed well-enough in universal applications that it has supplanted its original construction and abilities as a seam-sealer for HVAC operations. The most common form of cloth tape would be the iconic duct tape. Other common benefits of utilizing cloth and fabric as the carrier include heat resistance, insulation, abrasion resistance, and breathability. Similar to other types of tape, cloth tape’s usage is largely determined by compatibility with the bonding substrate, most notably the capabilities of the adhesive.Ĭloth tapes are most often pressure-sensitive activated, and some cloth tapes may feature double-sided adhesives. This increases the tensile strength of the product and enhances the geometric adaptability of the product during application. And if you really want tape that sticks better and longer, look no further than Magic Mounts. We market 4 distinct varieties of Cloth Tape:Ĭloth tape earns its high-strength reputation from the use of industrial fabrics as the backing for the adhesive. We included the solutions for each one, so it is up to you to make sure the tape stick as long as possible. But always try to prevent longer exposures that can often lead to negative effects.Īll types of tape rolls are affected by the aforementioned matters. Short exposures are not a big deal and there won’t be any issues. Then, they will start chemical processes inside adhesive, which will have a catastrophic effect. UV rays will simply heat up the tape and cause one of the issues we have mentioned. In order to make tape stick as long as possible, it must be kept away from UV rays, or really, the sun as a whole. UV exposure should be reduced as much as possible On the other hand, lower temperatures will maintain the adhesive too hard to connect to another surface, so tape won’t stick! But, what to do is the surface is cold? Simply warm up the tape and use it then. Higher temperatures will make adhesive too soft and almost useless. Basically, tape or other forms of adhesion, will stick much, much better. Using this, you will get the perfect relation between tape and surface. There is no need in telling you that all other debris, dust, oil or anything else should be removed.Ī surface at 18 degrees celsius is considered optimal for adhesion. Then, the surface will be perfect for tape. It is a wise decision to take some time until alcohol vaporizes. After you have cleaned the surface, the tape will be able to stick for a longer period of time and to stick properly. You can get alcohol needed for this application in any hardware store or even a pharmacy (alcohol used for treating wounds). Permanent tape is especially affected by this matter, so if you use it, make sure you clean the surface thoroughly! To make sure it is clean, always rub it with alcohol. The first and most common issue here isn’t related to tape, it depends on the surface the tape is being stored on or used upon. This includes an environment at room temperature and areas away from moisture, water and more. The best thing to do is to store them properly. Tape is sensitive and 2 sided tape is two times more delicate than conventional tape. Usually, these issues are made by beginners, so if you are a novice you will definitely need to know more about how to get the most out of your tape. But, before anything else, we must reveal that these tapes do need some preparation, especially if you want the best and the longest sticking time. It is so essential that almost each person on the planet uses it or knows about it. Removable tape nowadays has a huge role in modern society.

I cant help but think it has something to do with the overlay and how it interrupts the render pipeline. For some reason all the graphics were messed up and even some geometry in mario 64 were just missing. Ursprünglich geschrieben von cammelspit:Well, I got it "working" but I say that very loosely. Thanks again hulkenstrong for the workaround, I will certainly keep trying! :) Its the N64 and PS that are the hardest because they are old enough to have issues in the way they render with the overlay and yet are new enough to just not work at all properly without proper analog control. Now if only we could get ePSXe to work well I would be all set!Īll the newer emulators just work like Dolphin and PCSX2, the older ones, even it you have to use desktop bindings, whatever. You have, if anything, renewed my desire to get this running smoothly. They have been so slow since PJ64 is not open source like Dolphin is. All I can hope for is that 2.3 will give us some MUCH needed upgrades to PJ64. Thanks for the video, I nailed it, mor or less but I appreciate the proof as to you getting it to work. I will certainly do some more fiddling tonight when my son goes to sleep. Well, I got it "working" but I say that very loosely. I will test again, I have tried this but it wasn't working for me. Since you can't start any game unless the SC is off that means you got to have a keyboard/mouse handy to start a game. It works just as good as my xbox360 controller but again you can't turn on the SC until you have started a game otherwise project64 will give an error. I have it added as a non steam game and can use the overlay in bpm to config the SC and also use N-rage to config it for xinput. It works perfectly fine in game pad mode on windows 10. I am not using the SC in keyboard/mouse desktop mode, it is configured in BPM to game pad mode. I just checked and the plugin versions are even the same as to what you posted. Are you using KB/M for controls and setting it in the desktop config? Because it certainly is broken for me. The overlay does not work at all so the controller does not go into game pad mode. This is more or less a great solution for those games that are available through nintendos virtual console but there are limitations. I have been just running many N64 games through Dolphin VC. The problem I find it that using older, lesser video plugins ruins the experience because too many games are bugged. What version are you using, out of curiosity? I have been using one of the later ones. So weird that the SC hooks into the exe in some weird way preventing it from working. Only problem is you cant turn on your SC until you have started a game but you can configure xinput to your liking before and during a game. In 1965, Joe DiMaggio hit a grand slam into the left field stands. People like Keith Olbermann and Bob Wolff have also contributed.Ī modern addition, started in the past 20 years, involves a few "Old Timers", typically current Yankee broadcasters, being wired for sound to provide running commentary during the game, starting with Bobby Murcer and continuing with Paul O'Neill, David Cone and John Flaherty. Mel Allen was the original master of ceremonies, followed by Frank Messer, and then John Sterling and Michael Kay handling the duties as a team. Members of the Mantle and Maris families have also been introduced in the past, as well as those who have been recently widowed, such as Jerry Coleman's wife Maggie Coleman, who attended in 2014 after her husband's death. Ruth's daughter and granddaughter have also been introduced in recent years. Other elements of the day's ceremonies include a moment of silence for members of the Yankee family who died in the previous year, and introduction of the widows of great Yankees, a tradition that started with Claire Ruth and Eleanor Gehrig attending into the 1970s and 1980s and continues today with Diana Munson, Helen Hunter, Jill Martin, Arlene Howard, Kay Murcer, all escorted by current Yankees players. Berra made his final appearance in 2014, and Ford made his last in 2019. Since his final appearance, Whitey Ford and Yogi Berra were traditionally the last players introduced. He made his final appearance in 1998, missing only the 1988 game due to a scheduling conflict. In 1978, when Billy Martin was introduced after him as part of a stunt announcing he would return as manager in 1980, DiMaggio complained and said if anyone was introduced after him without his permission he would no longer return it never happened again. ĭuring the years he attended, DiMaggio would always be introduced last as "baseball's greatest living player". The most guests to attend in one year was 72, in 2008. Then participating old-timers are split into two teams, often called the Clippers (after the legendary Joe DiMaggio, the "Yankee Clipper") and the Bombers (homage to the team's legacy as the "Bronx Bombers"), to face one-another in a short exhibition contest. Hall of Famers and special honorees cap the celebration, with those of the highest standing introduced last. Former coaches and managers, trainers, and broadcasters also participate in the festivities. Today, the Yankees invite several dozen former ballplayers, including many greats and fan favorites, to be introduced to the crowd. By the 1980s this practice had stopped and only Yankee players were honored. For many years, players from other teams would attend the festivities wearing their own uniforms. The first Old-Timers' Day held under this name took place on the final day of the 1947 season. After hearing tearful speeches from friends and former teammates who had seen his career cut short by the illness which would come to bear his name, Gehrig delivered a short poignant speech, immortalized by his declaration that in spite of his fate he still considered himself the "luckiest man on the face of the earth." Format Members of the 1950 New York Yankees being honored at the 2010 Old Timers' Day Lou Gehrig Appreciation Day was held on July 4, 1939, and remains baseball's most famous such gathering. The Yankees held famous ballpark celebrations to recognize the careers of two of their all-time greats, first for Lou Gehrig on J(several weeks after he was forced to retire young because of ALS), and Babe Ruth in April 1948. Through the 2022 event, the New York Yankees have held 74 Old-Timers' Days. The New York Yankees are currently the only MLB team to host an Old-Timers' Day consistently year after year however, many other teams have hosted games in the past, and a few continue to do so on a non-regular basis. The retired players play in an exhibition game, usually lasting about three innings. 2023 Tech seemed a focused way to drain the artist’s expressive self from a work of art, the subject of an emotional inner life having been wrung dry by the narrow, droning longevity of Abstract Expressionist painting. Michael Rechtshaffen, Los Angeles Times, 2 June 2023 Mercedes’s contribution to this sonic uprising is a clanging, droning soundtrack drawn from the sounds made by throwing bullet casings into a crucible. David Wharton, Los Angeles Times, 22 June 2023 Echoing those visuals is a soundscape of chirping cicadas and falling rain, paired with an insistent, droning score by composer Shida Shahabi, heightening the increasing heaviness in the atmosphere. “Hydrogen can mean 4-5 hours of flight time, so it’s a big jump it’s a new capability of what we can do with payloads and flight time.Verb Bombers droned across the night sky as soldiers scrambled onto the beachhead, taking cover behind huts and clusters of palm trees. “Imagine 30 drones advancing in a swarm and if they don’t have to come back every 30 minutes but in a few hours,” Levinson said. It describes the H2D55 as the first hydrogen-powered drone for commercial use, and said its working with an unnamed global parter to roll it out in the second half of 2023.” Like most Israel companies in the defense sector, HevenDrones doesn’t disclose its other customers but says it has drones “flying on two continents.” The battery-powered drones are already operational and the hydrogen-powered drone has passed a proof of concept, with the company expecting to deliver the first of these drones to the market in the next couple of months. CEO Levinson says he sees growth, resources and also an “innovation mindset” in the UAE that has potential for “strengthening the region and that is a key priority. In the wake of the peace deal with Israel, called the Abraham Accords, Israeli companies have been appearing at IDEX. HevenDrones sees the potential for partnerships in the UAE. “I was a combat commander, we find ourselves as military people in difficult situations and having flying robots that can fight the war with us and carry our bags or fly in a few hundred feet ahead of us with thermal cameras and eliminate risks, that can eliminate risk to our soldiers.” “The hydrogen tailored factories has opened a new capability and new generation…if you can imagine the changes on battlefield for instance,” said Levinson, a former soldier. It’s planning to open an office in Miami says it is starting to see global growth in partnerships. The company has tested these energy sources to make them safe, subjecting them to small arms fire and also dropping them from a height. Hydrogen fuel cells can be swapped out, like a battery, and armies can bring fuel to a base to portably refuel tanks, and one can have an electrolyzer in the field, with water and electricity, to create the hydrogen fuel source, according tot he company. to customize an energy source for the drones. HevenDrones worked with hydrogen fuel energy developers in New York state and the U.K. “Essentially we create energy in the sky with a hydrogen tank and cylinder that is highly pressurized and it makes the gas into energy and that goes into a battery that powers the drone,” Levinson said. The company worked closely with Israel’s Ministry of Defense on this project over the last year and a half. Levinson says that using hydrogen fuel enables a longer flight time and a better energy-to-weight ratio. This triangle of size issues has kept smaller drones from achieving long ranges and endurance in terms of flying time. One limitation drones face is that a larger payload means a drone needs more battery power, and then the weight becomes larger, meaning the drone needs larger engines. “And, most importantly, we did that without jeopardizing the safety of our employees. “It was a real testimony to the efforts of the good people of the Cloquet plant, that we really didn’t miss a beat in services to our customers,” Quintana said. As a result, production was only shut down for five days and the Cloquet plant didn’t miss a single customer order. USG avoided significant damage by installing the flood gates. “… when all was said and done, the water was about eight inches from the top of the gates.” “We had consulted with the engineer about the area’s 500-year flood plain - and then added another foot,” said then-plant-manager Bill Schmitt in a 2012 interview with the Pine Journal. USG spent half a million dollars on that flood prevention plan in the six months before the June 2012 flood, and it all paid off. “Our hazard consultants recognized we were at risk,” he said, explaining that the company’s insurance carrier had been working with USG since 2010, urging them to consider a “top notch” flood containment plan that would involve the installation of flood gates at the entrances and ramps of the mill’s vulnerable lower levels. Quintana wasn’t at USG when massive flash floods hit Carlton County in 2012, but the new plant manager had high praise for the foresight and actions taken before the flood that kept the plant safe and mostly dry. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t have invested in ,” he added, gesturing at the draped front entrance and hallways lined with unpainted drywall. “I think it’s a great investment in the Cloquet operation, and it’s an important signal to employees and the community USG has a lot of confidence in our plant. “I believe in order for us to increase the volume and grow our business, we needed to improve our environmental emissions system,” he said. Improved emissions could allow the plant to expand its operations even further. The environmental projects will result in improved emissions, he said. “That, along with significant investments in environmental projects dealing with emissions, really show the commitment that corporate USG has in the sustainability of the Cloquet operations.”Īlthough he declined to give a specific dollar figure for the various investments, Quintana did say that the environmental improvements as well as planning and building the new line required “tens of millions of dollars.” “It’s been about an 18-month project,” Quintana said. The biggest change will come in the first quarter of this year, when the company plans to start up a new production line. Employee facilities from the break room to locker rooms are being renovated, as are the company’s offices. However, he explained, volume improved and business is steady, so USG is making investments in the facility here. “Business here is good, but like all businesses, we went through some difficulties during the recession.” “I think we turned a corner in regard to the overall economy in the U.S.” Quintana said. Much of USG was in “remodeling mode” for the last half of 2013. Quintana started working full time in Cloquet the last weekend of July and it’s been full-speed-ahead ever since. He noted that the Cloquet USG plant exports to every state in the country from Seattle to New York. “This big plant covers about 125 acres, and that’s all we make, is acoustical ceiling tiles,” Quintana said, explaining that USG purchased the plant and its surroundings from Conwed in 1985. The main business of USG nationwide, Quintana explained, is fabricating sheetrock, but the Cloquet facility is a different branch of the USG Corporation. The Cloquet plant, in comparison, employs approximately 380 people. It was a smaller plant, employing about 30 people who manufactured the grid suspension system for acoustical tiles. Quintana spent the last nine years managing a USG manufacturing plant near Atlanta, Georgia. The end result is ceiling tiles suitable for a range of rooms, from a basement rec room to advanced offices in New York and Seattle. Although all three lines make acoustical ceiling tiles, each line uses a different process. Quintana worked under Schmitt between 19, so he is no stranger to the plant or the area.Īt that time, Quintana managed one of USG’s three production departments. Quintana officially took over as plant manager of the USG Interiors Cloquet plant on May 1, replacing Bill Schmitt, who retired. “It’s been a great career and a great company,” he said. You can use it to check the working of the area calculator.

It has been widely used in food, automobile, textile, pharmaceutical, printing, paper and other industries. Arc tooth synchronous belt has good wear resistance, low noise, no need of lubrication, and can be used in harsh environment with dust. Therefore, the transmission power of the spiral tooth synchronous belt is greater than that of the trapezoidal tooth synchronous belt, which can prevent the interference of the teeth in the meshing process. After the belt tooth is loaded, the stress distribution is good, the stress concentration at the tooth root is smooth, and the bearing capacity of the tooth is improved. Except that the tooth profile is curved, the structure of the spiral tooth synchronous belt is basically the same as that of the trapezoidal tooth synchronous belt, the tooth pitch is equal, and the tooth height, tooth root thickness, and tooth root fillet radius are greater than those of the trapezoidal tooth. There are two dimensions of trapezoidal tooth synchronization: pitch system and module system.Ģ. The double-sided belt is divided into symmetrical tooth types according to the arrangement of teeth. The trapezoidal toothed synchronous belt can be divided into single-sided toothed belt and double-sided toothed belt, which are referred to as single-sided belt and double-sided belt for short.
